Record-Breaking Success

After four exciting days brimming with tennis, networking, and inspiring talks, we are delighted to announce that the 2023 edition of the Keystone Sports College Tennis Showcase is etched into history as the biggest and greatest showcase ever hosted by Keystone Sports!

The 9th edition shattered all previous records, with the highest number of participating tennis players, attending U.S. college coaches, as well as matches and meetings held during the event.

Boosting Sports Scholarship Chances

This year, 135 tennis players participated in the showcase, along with 92 American college coaches. These incredible numbers are a great indicator that Europe’s most renowned tennis recruiting event continues to grow each year and successfully attracts tennis talents from all over the world, along with tennis coaches representing top universities in the USA.

In total, 245 matches were played during the showcase, with each player guaranteed three UTR-verified matches. In addition to the coaches present in person in Leverkusen, the newly developed Virtual Showcase Platform enabled college coaches to stream all these matches online from any location.

This emphasizes the purpose of the Keystone Sports Tennis Showcase: providing an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring tennis players to display their skills and talents to college coaches, thereby enhancing players’ chances of getting discovered and receiving a tennis scholarship in the USA.

“You should not see this as a regular tournament to win – this is an opportunity to present yourself,” explained Sandy Franz, Head of Events at Keystone Sports, to the players during the welcoming session.

Building Coach-Player connections

Showcasing athletic skills and performance is one significant and important part of obtaining a sport-scholarship, but another crucial aspect is the meetings and connections between players and future coaches to find the right fit. The Keystone Sports Tennis Showcase offered an excellent spot and environment for meeting and networking.

New Innovative Features

New for this year was The Virtual Showcase Platform, developed by the Keystone Sports event team. With more than 2500 live streams during the event, this innovative platform offered an outstanding showcase experience for both tennis players and coaches virtually. In addition to the possibility of streaming matches taking place at the tennis courts in Leverkusen, the virtual platform’s features enabled players and coaches to easily connect and schedule meetings. During the event, 1070 interactions and 170 chats took place between players and coaches.

Similar to the in-person event in Leverkusen, the virtual platform’s schedule was filled with various activities such as workshops, presentations, and Q&As with experts in the field – all aimed at offering players the best possible preparation for their college tennis journey and allowing coaches to share knowledge and learn from the best in the field.
